Is it the different culture that contributes so many conflicts between different countries? In other words, is it possible for people to have a peaceful world by understanding and accepting differences of other cultures?

As far as I am concerned, it is possible. People have conflicts in consequence of misunderstand. For example, we Chinese will ask the age, marriage and your income to show their concern the first time he or she met you. But in western countries, it’s a bad manner to ask so. Thus, we have a contradict. And sometimes we can’t reconcile our differences, the war is on.

We people often have the view that ours’ are the best, so we cannot understand what their ideology is. Another case, we’ll fix eyes on someone to show that we are interested in their topic, but Americans think it is impolite. The last instance, The Thai not allowed their head stroked, but we look it as a normal action. From these cases I can draw a conclusion that because of the cultural difference, we have some conflicts and those conflicts contribute the war. I believed that if we can comprehend each other, there is no such war.

All in all, it’s possible for people to have a peaceful world by understanding and accepting differences of other culture.
