Teaching aims:

1. Learn the comparative and superlative degrees of disyllabic advs. 2. Talk about the correct ways to eat different food.

Teaching steps:

Step 1. Lead in

It’s a compitition class. So we divide all of the students into two groups.

You need to know the game rules: 1. There are four rounds of the game.

2. One student only has one chance for each round. 3. If you are right, your group will get a mark.

If you are wrong, the other group will get a mark.

Step 2. Review

1. Look at some pictures to review the names of the food. 2. Lead in the correct ways to eat.

3. The First Round Make sentences with: We use **** to eat ☆☆☆☆.

Step 3. Presentation

1. The Second Round Listen to a dialog and answer the questions.

1) What are they talking about? 2) How do they eat fish curry? 2. Read and act the dialoge. 3.

4. The Third Round

Ask and answer the qustions according to the passage. One group asks and the other group answers. If the answer is right, one point. If not, the asking group should answer it, and get one point. 5. Explain the key sentences:

Worth 1.be worth: 值……钱 The books are worth￥1000.

2.be worth doing: 值得做某事 The book is worth reading. hard: adj. ①坚硬的 ②困难的 ③努力的

Hard adv. ①努力地 ②猛烈地

He is a hard worker. adj. = He worked very hard. adv. hardly: adv. 几乎不 They can hardly finish it.
