Review of Titanic

Titanic is a brilliant miracle, a "dream boat’’ of "never sunken" which represented the mysterious and unknown forces to move ahead bravely on the sea, and undoubtedly it has become the incarnation of the era it belongs to. Human are proud and full of confidence, use their own wisdom and power to vanquish nature which has a large body and infinite power, and even win over space and time to leave for the destination--the United States. Therefore, in the European horizon no doubt it is the kingdom with the dream, the liberal democracy and a series of myths incarnation. In the film, there are a group of special scenes which shows the operation of the great ship’s internal huge machinery gear and the flames in the boiler, it is the excellent footnote of "modernity narrative" in this period. And the hero stood with his open arms to the vast sea, shouting loudly, "I'm the king of the world!" No doubt put the narrative theme to the climax.

As a commercial film, Titanic shows not only the fear diffused all over the world but also reflects on the doubt, it made the love story the main line, stressed the self-saving of modern people in adversities. No matter how we exaggerate the power of love, all it can save only are individuals in the history, this makes me more scared beyond the moving. In fact, in the pure love there also contains a rhetorical strategy. The heroine is a declining aristocracy girl who has been tired of the false life of the upper society, however her heart was still filled with passion, this regiment flame from her then lighted by the hero. It is this passion that helped her to overcome the allure from money, status and fame, restore her courage to survive after the ship sunk, and let her to return to the life which she really wanted.

In my opinion, a passionate year has already been sunk with Titanic, fanaticism of love and lonely hero seems to have passed.
