Molex one piece 1-by-1 cages fully comply with all RoHS requirementsSmall Form-factor Pluggable (SFP) RoHS compliant cages are designed for Electro Magnetic Interference (EMI) shielding of copper and optical pluggable transceivers. These one-piece cages are stamped and formed to meet the most current Multi-Source Agreement (MSA) speci cation requirements.Molex cages are designed with various pin options to work with multiple board thicknesses and bezel openings. The SFP system follows the function of the standard Gigabit Interface Converter (GBIC) products with reduced size and increased data transfer rates at and beyond 2.5 Gbps.

Molex SFP products are multi-sourced, industry standard products featuring a common design for use with multiple data-transfer protocols. Protocols include Fibre Channel, Gigabit Ethernet, and In niBand.
