一、商务旅游定义：

商务旅游涉及的是那些因工作关系而旅行的人们，因此是最古老的旅游类型之一。 商务旅游包括商务旅行者经历的所有方面，离开家至少一晚上。

Business tourism is concerned with people travelling for purposes which are related to their work，so it is one of the oldest forms of tourism.

Business tourism is the broader term which encompass all aspects of the experience of the business traveller。 Stay away from home at least one light。

二、商务旅游的分类（a typology of business travel and tourism）：

1.各类会议（meetings，conferences and conventions）

会议的定义：一次使人们聚集在一起讨论他们所共同关心的话题的、有组织的活动。 An organised event which brings people together to discuss a topic of shared interest. 各类本地、地区及全国性的会议：各种协会、公司。 各类重大国际会议。

小型会议一般称为meeting，大型会议在英国称为conference，在美国称为convention，在欧洲大陆称congress。Meeting 会议 conference 会议 convention 公约 congress美国国会

2.展览（exhibitions）

旨在向受邀观众展示产品或服务项目并以销售或向来访者提供信息为目的的活动。

Presentations of product or service to an invited audience with the object of inducing a sale or informing the visitor.

3.培训（training courses）

指那些参与者在特定时间和地点聚集在一起获取信息或接受帮助以掌握某些技巧的活动。 These are events where participants gather together at a specific time and place to receive information or to be helped to developed their skills.

4.新产品发布会（product launches）

是目前许多公司用来为其推出的新产品活服务做宣传的声势浩大的特殊活动。

These are the high-profile special events which many organization now use to attract publicity for new products and services they are launching.

5.奖励旅游（incentive travel）

奖励旅游通过特殊的旅游经历来激励员工更努力地工作或借以承认员工的突出工作表现，以便实现企业的各类目标。Use an exceptional travel experience to motive and/or recognize participants for increased levels of performance in support of the organizational goals.

四、商务旅游与休闲旅游之间的关系（区别与联系）：

区别：1.商务旅游与休闲旅游使用同样的供应设施，但商务旅游需要额外服务项目。

Business tourism makes use of a lot of the same supply-side elements as leisure tourism，although it needs additional services。

2.商务旅游者往往以不同的方式使用那些休闲旅游者也同样使用的设施。Business tourists often use the elements they share with leisure tourism in different ways to leisure tourists.

3.商务旅游者常常需要或要求更好的服务或额外的专门设施。

Business travellers often need，or at least demand，better quality service or extra specialist facilities，compared to leisure tourist.

联系：就需求而言，以下四个方面重叠：

1.在一天的工作结束后，商务旅行者通常会变成休闲旅客。The business traveller usually becomes a leisure traveller once the working day is over。

2.会议期间往往会为代表们安排各种休闲活动。Conference often include a programme of leisure activities in between conference sessions for delegates。
