Unit4 Lesson1 Tomorrow’s World

Good morning, everyone, Today I’m very pleased to have an opportunity to talk about some of my teaching ideas. My topic is Tomorrow’s World taken from Module Two unit4. Part 1 Analysis of the teaching materials

1．Introduction of the teaching materials

Tomorrow’s world is the first part of Unit4.The reading part is about the future of cyberspace. There are many typical sentence patterns to express the different opinions, which is good for the students to improve their written and oral English.

Teaching aims:

1. Knowledge aims

In this lesson, I want the Ss:

(1) To master new vocabulary and some phrases and sentences to express the different opinions. (2)To learn to use Predictions will and be going to appropriately.

(3) To practise oral English

2. Ability aims

(1) To improve students’ listening and speaking abilities and to train students’ writing

abilities.

(2) To learn some expressions to give opinions; and practice expressing one’s opinion;

(3) Through different tasks, students’ communicative and cooperative abilities will be

well trained;

3. Moral aims

(1) By completing the task, the Ss increase their interest and set up self-confidence ;

(2)Through imaging about the changes of the future let students be creative and strive for their blight future.
