General introduction：This lesson is taken from a book of New Senior English for China by

Beijing Normal University. This lesson is about the reading part. By learning this passage, the students

can master some language points and skills, as well as some life guides.

2.Teaching aims and demands

(1).knowledge objects

1).Vocabulary: affect, rapidly, growth, pessimistic, hacker, optimistic, crime, criminal,

terror, attack, chaos, crash, offer, entertainment, disappear, harm, obvious, destruction.

2) 2).Phrase: come into effect, put…into effect, cause and effect, offer sb.

something/offer sth. To sb., be going to continue, be pessimistic/optimistic about,

make sth. crash, a+adj.+growth in.

3).grammar: Predictions will(expresses our opinions and beliefs about the future.) and

be going to(talks about a future event we can predict from a present situation).

(2).Ability objects

1).Listening skills ：understand the teacher's saying.

2).Reading skills ：general understanding，detail information

3).Speaking skills： use the new expressions to discuss: Do you feel pessimistic or

optimistic about the future of the Internet? Why?

4).writing skills：write a short passage on the topic with new expressions

The internet is a two-side sword. We should take the advantage of the internet to help

improve our lives. We should try our best to prevent internet crimes and negative

effects it can make. As a student, he or she should develop healthy and efficient habits

when surfing the Internet.
