1．Advantages of a Job Interview

Now, when a person is hunting for a job, there will always be a job interview and I think the job interview has a lot of advantages. The interviewer and the interviewee can know about each other from it.

First, the interviewer can tell something about the job to the interviewee such as the salary, the work conditions and something else that is relevant to the job. Then the interviewee can decide whether the job is really suitable for him.

Second, I think the job interview is a good chance for the interviewee to show both his ability and confidence. Then the interviewer can figure out whether he is the right person for the job.

In a word, I think the interview will do good to both the interviewer and the interviewee. By an Interview the interviewer can find a suitable person if both of them make the best of the job interview.

2．The Two-day Weekend

Since the carrying out of the two-day weekend, college students have benefited a lot from it. First, after five days' study, they are very tired. They can use the weekend to have a good rest. Second, the two-day weekend provides them more chances to contact the society, for example, they can take a part-time job or go sightseeing. Third, they can use it to review the lessons and preview what they will earn next week.

Every sword has two blades. Problems do exist in some college students' two-day weekend. Some lazy students may spend most of the time sleeping, doing nothing else. Some may be addicted to playing cards, drinking, leaving their homework far away. Therefore, the two-day weekend can bring nothing useful to them. As for me, I will make good use of the time to have a rest and develop my own hobbies, such as reading listening to music or playing sports, And I should prepare myself for the next week's study.

3．Global Shortage of Fresh Water

Generally, people think that fresh water is inexhaustible. Every year there is enough rain. And there is plenty of fresh water in the rivers and lakes. What is more, we have a lot of underground water.

Actually, fresh water is in a short supply. Due to the rapid population increase, fresh water consumption remains great. Besides, with the development of industry, more water is needed. Moreover, a lot of our rivers and lakes have been so polluted that water from them is undrinkable, We must take some measures to solve the problem of water shortage. First, population growth should be slowed down to reduce fresh water need. Second, pollution should be controlled to purify fresh water in the rivers and lakes. What is the most important of all, we should cherish drop of water in our daily life.

4．Practice Makes Perfect

"Practice makes perfect" is an old saying. It tells us that it does not matter if we are clumsy at doing something .As long as we keep on trying and practicing, we will do a good job in the end. The saying is especially useful in English study. If a student is poor at listening, he needn’t lose his heart. As long as he keeps on listening to English programs every day, he may do well in listening one day. And, if he is poor at speaking, he should grasp every chance to open his mouth and speak English with classmates or foreigners. his oral English may be excellent one day due to his hard work.
