CHANGE OF COMPANY NAME

The Board announces that with effect from 5 June 2009, the name of the Company has been changed from “CATIC INTERNATIONAL HOLDINGS LIMITED” to “AVIC International Holding (HK) Limited” and the Chinese name “ ” has been adopted as a secondary name of the Company.

Trading of Shares on the Stock Exchange under the new name “AVIC INT’L” in English and “ ” in Chinese will take effect from 9:30 a.m. on 17 July 2009 while the Company’s stock code remains as 232.

The Change of Company Name will not affect any of the rights of any Shareholders. All existing share certificates of the Company in issue bearing the former English name “CATIC INTERNATIONAL HOLDINGS LIMITED” will continue to be evidence of legal title to the Shares and will continue to be valid for trading, settlement and registration purposes. References are made to the circular of CATIC INTERNATIONAL HOLDINGS LIMITED (now known as AVIC International Holding (HK) Limited) (the “Company”) dated 29 April 2009 (the “Circular”). Capitalised terms used herein shall have the same meanings as those defined in the Circular unless defined otherwise.

Change of official registered company name

At the annual general meeting of shareholders (“Shareholders”) of the Company held on 5 June 2009, a special resolution was passed for approving the change of the Company from “CATIC INTERNATIONAL HOLDINGS LIMITED” to “AVIC International Holding (HK) Limited” and adoption of the Chinese name of the Company “ ” as a secondary name of the Company (“Change of Company Name”).
