一、 词汇部分

1.race （n.）比赛 通常指速度竞赛，如赛跑、赛车

game ( n.) 游戏；比赛 通常指竞争性的体育运动，如大型的国内外体育比赛 e.g. Olympic Games 奥运会

competition (n.) 比赛 一般指学科类或艺术类的比赛

e.g. singing competition 歌咏比赛

e.g. composition competition 作文比赛

2.celebrate （v.）庆祝 celebration (n.) 庆祝

e.g. We celebrate National Day with singing and dancing. 我们载歌载舞庆祝国庆节。

3.（be） born (v.) 出生

注意： born 往往与be动词的过去式连用（was born/were born），它的原形是：bear

e.g. Simon was born in New York, the USA.

was /were born with + 职业名词（singer/dancer/teacher/player---）表示“具有-----的天赋”

e.g. She was born with a singer. 她具有歌唱家的天赋。

4.ago (adv.) 以前 常用于过去时态中

before 在-----之前 常用于完成时态中

e.g. long long ago 很久以前

e.g. His grandma died three years ago. 他祖母三年前死了。

e.g. I have never seen this film before. 我以前从未看过这电影。

注意：later (adv.) 以后；后来 通常也用于过去时态中，表示在具体某个时间之后。

e.g. I arrive in Beijing on July 6th.,three days later I left for Dalian.

我7月6号到达北京，三天后我离开去了大连。

e.g. See you later. 回头见。

5.country (n.) 国家 ；乡村

e.g. Ben’s grandparents live in the country. 本的祖父母住在乡下。

6.advice (n.) 忠告；劝告 ；建议

advice（v.）忠告；劝告 ，建议

注意： advice是一个不可数名词，不能加 “s”, 一条建议可以说“a piece of advice” 许多建议可以说“ a lot of/much advice”

e.g. You must take doctor’s advice . 你必须接受医生的忠告。

词组：take one’s advice 接受某人的建议

give one’s advice 给某人建议

7.die (v.) (died ,died)死 death (n.) 死亡 dead (a.) 死的
